First off, I’M SORRY FOR BEING LATE!! Once again I get to thank Jasemin @ How useful it is and Lara @ The Heathen for this nomination! Thank you two so much, this nomination means a lot to me, especially if it comes from someone like y’all! You guys should definitely check out their blogs! They both have great content and it’s a pleasure to read their posts!!

The Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you!

  • Answer 11 questions set by the person who nominated you!

  • Nominate 11 bloggers to receive the award and write the  11 new questions!

Lara’s Questions:

1.How many books have you read this year?

So far I have read 84 books this year, with my goal being 120 by the end of 2016!

2.What is your favorite genre of books?

I gotta admit that I am really bad at saying what genre a book is, so … Young or New Adult books featuring supernatural beings! I am a sucker for those!! ❤

3.What’s your favorite past time apart from blogging?

Reading?! Nah, just kidding! Well, of course it is but apart from that I love listening to music and playing the guitar and I also kinda like studying – YES I’m a total loser!! But to my defense, I do it because I love learning new things and not for the sake of studying!

4. What’s your one true book love?

You mean as Book Boyfriend? Well what can I say…It’s still Roth, Crown Prince of Hell, from the Dark Elements series by Jennifer L. Armentrout!

5.What’s the last movie you watched?

Suicide Squad!! And it was *sorry* fucking amazing!!!

giphy1

Diablo was my favorite character especially in his final form!!

6.What is the last book you bought?

When Stars Collide by Micalea Smeltzer. I rated it 4.5 Stars and a review should be coming soon.

7.How often do you blog?

I try to post 4 – 6 times a week, but as y’all might’ve noticed I don’t really go trough with it at points! 😅

8.Do people in your real world know that you’re a blogger?

Yes, my friends and family know about it but I do not call myself a blogger because I still feel like I’m not a blogger, but a person blogging…More about that in the next question!

9.Do you hate the words blog and blogger?

I definitely don’t hate or dislike the words but sometimes the word blogger is just weird I think. I never really feel comfortable calling myself a blogger because it always seems like you have to be crazy popular to qualify as a blogger and I don’t feel like I live up to those standards!

10.What’s your favorite curse world?

Well Fuck for one and also Kacke, which means Shit in German.

11.What’s your average reading time?

For ebooks it’s usually a few hours up to a day and for “real” books it’s usually a few days, because I can never really sit down and actually read for too long since I don’t always have too much time!

Jasmine’s Questions:

1. Just have to ask because I am too curious! Who is your book boyfriend?

As I said above it’s still Roth from the Dark Elements series! But to mention someone else too for once: A close second is Ethan Dunn from the Supernaturals series by Kelly Oram! Son of Archangel Michael – just as badass as Roth, people!!

2. What inspired the name of your blog?

I suck with names for anything, so I had no clue what to call this blog at first, but then I thought that I want to talk about books – to say a word about books. Et voilà A Word About Books was born!

3. What is your favorite genre?

Young or New Adult featuring Supernaturals

200

4. What is your least favorite genre?

I think it is Non-Fiction. I don’t think I’ve ever read a Non-Fiction book… Any good recommendations to try it out?

5. How many hard copy books do you own right now?

I am not at home right now so I have no clue, but it’s not a lot a lot, because I had a big ebook phase 😩 But I’m working on accumulating more hard copies! I do own about 500 or more ebooks on my Amazon Kindle!

6. Do you read books by yourself or with a buddy?

I read books by myself. I wish I could do buggy reading but honestly I have no clue how that would work or who to do it with 😅 None of my friends like to read as much as me (or at all) and if they do, they usually read German. I’d love to do buddy reading though…

7. Have you been to a book release party at a bookstore?

No I have not and I don’t think there are ever any close to where I live.

8. Have you interview a favorite author?

No I haven’t. Once again I don’t really know how I’d get in contact with them and how that would work out. But I am going to try to figure it out, because I think that’d be awesome!

9. What would you do if you ran into your favorite author on the street?

giphy4

10. What is your second favorite thing to do besides reading?

Listening to music, spending time with my dog, and learning new things!

giphy5

(Just for clarification: This is not my dog, of course, but I do own a Beagle)

11. Have you ever read for others? Like at a nursing home or read to your grandparents?

I don’t know if this counts, but I read for some kindergarten-kids a few times when I did an internship at said kindergarten. Also I took part in a reading contest once in 5th grade where I read for the school from Brisingr (The Inheritance Cycle #3) by Christopher Paolini.

Thanks so much for the nomination! I LOVE all your answers… We have a lot in common 😉 I played the violin but always wanted to play the guitar. And I also love studying to learn new things! Great post.

whoa! 500 ebooks. That’s a big library! That’s cool that you read to the kids. I think it’s tough to read for them because you have to change different voice for different characters and act out some sounds haha.. If you join NetGalley and request some books to read. The publisher sometimes send you a direct email and ask if you would like to interview the author of the book you requested. Also, I don’t enjoy nonfiction book much because they are often boring to read, but this self help book is very interesting, and it’s called 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey. I would rate that book 100 stars haha.. because it’s a fun read and it gives you tips to improve yourself.

Thanks so much for the tips! 😊 I’m definitely planning on signing up for NetGalley in a few days when I’m 18, and then I’ll just see where it takes me
