Wraping Up 2016!

Well that’s it everyone! 2016 is finally over! Honestly I have to say that I am not sad at all to let 2016 go and I am hoping for a better 2017! 2016 basically had everything: (horrible) political decisions, the death of many beloved celebrities, we had terror attacks and natural catastrophes… All in all this year’s had its highs and lows but I have to admit that I think the lows predominate a little.

In my personal life there were a lot of ups and downs as well which I am still trying to deal with. So two of my biggest highlights of 2016 were

  • me turning 18 in September! Now I can finally vote this year and am free to do whatever I want!
  • starting this blog! I know it might not seem that way since I often don’t post for a while but I love this blog! And even more than that I love the community and every single one of you guys reading ❤

Concerning this blog there is also something I am very proud of. I was brave enough to post a poem on this blog for the first time! I am really shy and don’t have much confidence so posting this was a milestone to me!

Now on to the bad things. I have advanced into my second to last year of school in Germany which already counts into my Abitur (graduation in Germany) and is part of the qualification phase. The idea of how much I should work for school stresses me a lot and combined with the way my brain was already thinking I have kind of slipped into anxiety – which sucks… That is also the reason for me not posting for so long, but I am trying really hard to get my life in order so I can post regularly again! Let’s hope for the best y’all!

But let’s get back to the fun part! 😊 Since I haven’t posted in quite a while there are a lot of books that I haven’t talked about on here, so I’m just gonna go ahead and tell y’all which books I have read since my September Wrap-Up!

5 Stars:

A Veil of Vines by Tillie Cole – This is one of my favorite authors and the book is just absolutely beautiful! It isn’t about heartbreak; it isn’t sad; it’s just a beautiful book about love in a beautiful setting!

Midnight Hour by C.C. Hunter – As above this is one of my favorite authors and her Shadow Falls series is terrific and this book is the perfect conclusion for it!

Lucas (Preston Brothers #1) by Jay McLean – I have been waiting for a series about the Preston brothers since I learned about them in the More Than series. I fell in love with Lucas almost immediately and all the characters are amazing (by that I mean well written, not good people 😉)

Fire in You (Wait for you #5) by J. Lynn – Again: Favorite author, great series, wonderful sequel. There’s really not much more to say than: It’s a great book!

4 Stars:

The Mistake (Off-Campus #2) by Elle Kennedy

The Goal (Off-Campus #4) by Elle Kennedy

Dream of You (Wait for you #4.5) by J. Lynn

Scoring Wilder by R.S. Grey

A Love like Ours by Micalea Smeltzer

3 Stars & 3.5 Stars:

Rock Candy Kisses (3:AM Kisses) by Addison Moore

Chaosherz (Die Chaos Reihe #2) by Teresa Sporrer

Him (Him #1) by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy

Four Letter Word (Dirty Deeds #1) by J. Daniels

Dirty Shots by Marissa Farrar

The Score (Off-Campus #3) by Elle Kennedy

2 Stars:

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer – About this one I just want to say that it has a great story and meaning but I did not like the writing style at all as it is a prolonged newspaper article, and that is just not my style. But other than that it is a great and meaningful piece.

Books I didn’t finish:

Hit The Spot (Dirty Deeds #2) by J. Daniels

Aced by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine

So this was a little something about my 2016 and y’all should be up-to-date now again! 😉👍🏼 Thank you guys for reading and again: Good Luck for 2017!!

How was your 2016? Did y’all read these books? What did y’all think about them?

New York Times “By the book” Tag

It’s Tag time!! I’m sorry for not putting any reviews out lately but I’m honestly not reading books that I necessarily want to write a review about…. Still a sucky type of reading slump! I really can’t get trough the books that I really enjoy, that have been on my shelf for weeks and I don’t know why!! Well I guess I’m gonna have to keep doing tags until I get over this fucking reading slump! I got tagged to do this by Reg @ She Latitude, so go check out her post and her blog in general – you won’t be disappointed!!

rosesWhat book is on your nightstand now?

I generally do not keep my books on my nightstand, so in my case it’s on a little side part of my desk 🙈There I have 3 books currently and those are Winter by Marissa Meyer, Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer, and Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe! Well… and the few hundreds on my Kindle 😅 Those literally are on my nightstand and I count them, since I basically read my favorite scenes from a random one (whichever one I feel like) every day!!

What was the last truly great book you’ve read?

It was a while ago that I’ve read this book, but it was absolutely amazing and since that
one I just haven’t read a book that left me speechless and touched. This last book was When We Collided by Emery Lord! (Here is my review for this book) It had a very big impact on me that none of the books I’ve read afterwards could top – so far!when-we-collided-emery-lord

If you could meet any writer – dead or alive – who would it be? And what would you want to know?

There are SO many!! But currently I think it would be Johann Wolfgang von Goethe or Friedrich Schiller. We have to read so many of their works in school, interpret and analyze them, and we talk about them non-stop! I would find it really interesting to hear from them what they thought about their literature, I mean maybe we got it all wrong, right? Also I would like to know what they think about their importance and presence in German-class!

What books might we be surprised to find on your shelf?

Maybe the Manga books that I have?! I really don’t know 😅 Also all the required reads for German-class as well as some law books… Never know when you might need those 😉

How do you organize your personal library?

I’ve had my bookshelves organized so many different ways so far, it’s not even funny..😅

I pretty much went trough every kind of order you can imagine but currently I chose to organize it in a Goodreads type of way… You know: TBR, Read, Currently Reading and so on 🙂

What book have you always meant to read and haven’t gotten around to yet?

A LOT! For example I’ve wanted to read “To Kill A Mockingbird” but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I really really wanna read it though!!

Disappointing, overrated, just not good: what book did you feel you are supposed to like but didn’t?

Honestly, the only one I can think of right now is “After” by Anna Todd! I usually like most of the books others like, because usually they’re good books so there aren’t many popular ones that I dislike 👍🏼

Ohhhh but there are also those like “The Hunger Games Trilogy” that I originally liked, but that were ruined for me by the hype😅

What kind of stories are you drawn to? Any you stay clear of?

Drawn to:

  • Anything Supernatural (Especially creatures and how they’re unique in each story)
  • Fairytale Retellings
  • Stories with good world-building and authentic characters (therefore I love the first books in series 😉)
  • Books that talk about real, important issues
  • Dystopias of which the way it came to be is relatable

Stay away from:

  • Books were cheating is made out to be alright (I’m looking at you After)
  • Completely unrelatable characters
  • Non-Fiction
  • Post/Pre/Whatever War literature
  • Books supporting idiotic stereotypes

If you could require the president to read one book, what would it be?

I have no clue at all! I feel like I don’t really read books that’d be relevant for the leader of a country…

What do you plan to read next?

I’m gonna follow Reg’s example here! Help me decide! It might take a while until I can get to it but who cares 😁😁

Thank y’all for reading and I hope you enjoyed it ☺

I Tag:

I know, when someone say “I tag everyone” you never feel like they also mean you – at least I don’t – but seriously just do if you feel like it! I’d love to get a link to your post in the comments if you feel like doing this tag!

September Wrap-Up and October TBR

Guys I suck!!! I know the title says October TBR but that is just to tell y’all that I’m not even going to attempt planning a TBR! I still haven’t read the books on my Septemer TBR list – heck, I haven’t even finished Winter(!!!!)- so it’s basically going to be the same books for October. I currently have a really busy schedule and school, for example, has to come before blogging! 😖 But even though I’m in a reading slump and can’t find the time to pick up an actual book, my ebook reading game is going strong – well, kinda! And while I might not have read a lot of books I didn’t read anything So here we go with my Wrap-Up!

I’ve read 8 books this month! (Nevermind,  not even my ebook game is going strong!)

What I’ve read this month:

  • When We Collided by Emery Lord – I gave this book 4 Stars and you can find my review here!
  • A Hundred Thousand Words by Nyrae Dawn – I gave this book 4 Stars as well!
  • Neighbour Dearest by Penelope Ward – I gave this book 4 Stars!
  • Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines – I rated this book 4 Stars and you can find a short review here!

(Dang! A lot of 4 Stars books so far 😅)

  • Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman – I rated this book 3.5 Stars and you can find a short review here!
  • P.S. I Like You by Kasie West – Once again I rated this book 4 Stars and have a short review for y’all right here!
  • The Deal (Off-Campus #1) by Elle Kennedy – I gave this book 4 Stars!
  • The Score (Off-Campus #2) by Elle Kennedy – I gave this book 4 Stars as well!

(I’m even boring myself with all these 4s right now…)

I hope y’all’s reading month was better than mine and let’s hope for a better October!! 😉

To end this little post I want to mention 5 cool things that happened in September! Well…to me or my life cool obviously 😄

  1. I had my 18th birthday, so now I can do anything I want! (Except of course go to casinos – but who’d want that when you can spend your money on books instead?!?!)
  2. I received my first subscription Fairyloot Box!
  3. I got Beats Studio Headphones which I have wanted for years and I am so so happy!!
  4. I made a milkshake myself for the first time and it was freakin amazing!!
  5. I went to see Finding Dory with a bunch of friends – Yes, it just came out in Germany! – and it was so much fun!

What books did you read? Did you read any of the ones I read (this month or in general)?

When Stars Collide by Micalea Smeltzer

Short description:

We were like two stars orbiting each other—dancing around the possibility that one day we might collide. When we finally did, we opened up a black hole, obliterating everything around us. No one would be the same.
Least of all, us.

Waking up in Vegas married to the guy of your dreams sounds like a good thing, right? Not when you’re Thea Montgomery and said guy is your brother’s best friend.

Thea and Xander have always avoided the connection between them because her brother would never approve. Now, they’re married— the strongest bond you can have as a couple—and they’re not even a real couple…unless they want to be.

Thea wants an annulment immediately, but Xander’s waited too long to see her become his and he won’t let her go easily.

If she wants a divorce, fine, but he wants the summer to convince her that he’s the one. If at the end of the summer she still wants to end their marriage he’ll sign the papers, but until then…

All is not fair in love and war.

This is the second book in the Light in the Dark series with the first installment being Rae of Sunshine. This book follows Thea and Xander who have been friends since they were little kids and have always felt a deep connection towards one another. The obstacle, that kept them from being together, was always Thea’s brother Cade  and even now, after getting married in Vegas, obstacles stand in their way as they try to somehow make their marriage work!

My Opinion

First off let me say that I have been waiting for this book forever!! I really enjoyed reading the first book in this series (which I didn’t know was a series back then) and I was excited to find out how the story around Rae, Cade and their friends would continue, but let me say that I didn’t expect the story to be like this at all! This is not a bad thing though, since I feel like the storyline of this book was a plot twist within itself! This “plot twist” made me want to read this book even more and it was definitely worth it as I could find out more about the characters that I learnt to love, from a different perspective!

As far as the writing style goes I know and I’m used to Micalea Smeltzer’s by now and I enjoy her writing style very much! It is light and easy to read and it has very nice flow to it, that makes it hard to not keep going! Her writing style has really never disappointed me and I am happy to say that it didn’t happen in this book either!

The storyline in this book was very well thought through and contained really interesting and unforeseeable elements, in the form of little side stories. These side stories are what give this book its character and appeal, because they divide this book from others of its genre that are very predictable and always follow a certain pattern! This one did too, since it is a part of the Romance/New Adult genre, but the stories surrounding the main plot diverted the attention and let me forget about the pattern! This was great for once cause I often think about what is going to happen a lot and I kinda spoil the book for me myself…. So rude of me! 😉  In this book though, I could only predict one main part of the story (Except the ending, of course), that one being the main “down” of the story shortly before the end. But about that I have to say that the first book in this series already kinda led up to that moment by revealing parts of the family background to the reader, that had to escalate at some point! I really like every little part of the story – it really fits the characters!

Thea is the female lead in this book and she is an easily likable character! On the outside this girl seems like just another pretty girl but when you get to know her better you notice that she’s just weird – I love weird! And when Thea lets out her crazy it makes for some pretty funny parts in the book 😄 She also cares deeply about her family and friends, but at the same time she keeps her families secret for a long time and is weak in this regard – but I have to say that this is understandable! Thea is a really funny person and that lightens up the mood of this romance novel a lot as her mood influences the tone of the writing! I absolutely love Xander, the male lead, who is a lot like Thea! He is really compassionate and this is shown on multiple occasions, which result in one of the cutest scenes in my whole reading history!! SO CUTE! Also his passion for the things he loves is admirable and he tries to pursue his happiness while also being there for his family and trying to protect the people he loves! This quality results in a few inner conflicts within Xander as he feels like he can’t pursue the career he wants without hurting his father. The other male character that was quite prominent was Thea’s older brother Cade. So far I only knew the “fun” side of Cade as a friend and boyfriend but in this book we learned of his brotherly side! This side of him can be really funny but just as aggressive, especially when he’s confronted with Thea’s relationship as he is a overprotective brother! But who wouldn’t be with an abusive father…

One thing that I didn’t like too much was the execution of the “down” close to the end. I think it could’ve been drawn out a little more, since it was a pretty important event. But I can’t imagine how hard it must be to always get the proportions of important elements right, so it’s not a big minus point as the scene was still pretty nicely written!

4.5 Stars Turquoise

P.S. I know this might not be the best review ever written, but I’m proud that I at least got my lazy butt up and posted a review again!!

3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag ~ Day 2

Hello Guys! Today is my second day of doing the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag and I’m really excited to show y’all another one of my favorite quotes! Once again I get to thank Martin @ a pretty wonderful book for tagging me and y’all should definitely check out his blog!

The Rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day

The prob with forever

This is really my favorite quote from one of my favorite books, so I definitely had to put it in this Tag! I’m not a big fan of the thought of “forever” and I can relate to this quote so much! I really feel like the author just took my thoughts and wrote them down! 😀

Today I tag:

Thanks you guys for reading and have a great time! 🙂

3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag ~ Day 1

Hi Guys! Today I am starting with the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag that I was tagged in by Martin @ a pretty wonderful book! Thank you so much!! Y’all should definitely check out his blog if haven’t already!

The Rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day

I absolutely love Immanuel Kant as a philosopher and the views he had on several topics like humanity, society and how we should (or shouldn’t) treat one another! I think this quote just holds so much truth about the majority of humanity so I thought this would be a good one to start the three days off.

Today I tag:

Thank you guys for reading!! 🙂

The Pokemon Go Book Tag

Okay guys, so before I even start with this post I have to admit that I do not play Pokemon Go! I’m sorry guys but reason number 1 is: My GPS on my phone does not work AT ALL! Reason number 2: All the hype around it has kind of killed my wish to play it! But apart from all that I was still really excited to do this Tag because I do really like other Pokemon games and other Pokemon stuff in general! I was tagged by Laura @ readinglust and I want to thank you so so much for that since I was really hoping I could do this Tag at some point! 😀 Y’all should definitely check out her blog!

This Tag was created by Aentee @ Read at midnight and you should check her blog out as well! I think it’s really awesome how she was able to create a Tag for something that really doesn’t have anything to do with books but that has a huge fanbase. So now let’s just get into the world of Pokemon Go!

There have really been two book series that started my love for reading. In elementary 30183school I read Eragon by Christopher Paolini and started the rest of the Inheritance Cycle, which started this phase of liking reading but in a way that a kid can love reading. So of course I didn’t read a lot a lot! Then when I was a little older (I think in 8th grade) I read the House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast and that really started the kind of love for reading where you read a book a day for multiple days in a row and where you spend WAY too much money on books!

I really don’t think I read a lot of Classics but one that I really loved was Pride and Prejudice 1885by Jane Austen! I read the German version but even tough it was very different from all the other books I usually read I enjoyed it a lot! I also like some German Classics but Pride and Prejudice is my absolute favorite!

626F6F78747265616D=7474747474727576707<7473Okay what I am going to say now will probably make the rest of the blogging community hate me… a lot. I kind of lost interest in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. PLEASE don’t sue me! I mean I really understand people being excited about it, but since I am not the biggest Harry Potter fan myself (don’t get me wrong, I read some of the books and really liked them, but I don’t live for Harry Potter) it kind of annoyed me at some point!

13722513This would probably be The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I love this series incredibly much and a few of y’all probably know that by now, but one element of the story is obviously the fairytale retelling. So, obviously it will have things in common with other retellings of fairytales! But most of the retellings that I’ve read were so unique and took interesting spins on the original fairytales and Marissa Meyer is the Queen of doing that!

The Game of Thrones series by George R. R. Martin! But I have to admit that its size isn’t the only reason why I haven’t read/started the series yet and probably never will. I am also not interested the series itself…

Well with this one I have two books for different reasons.

23357071Number 1: Frozen Charlotte by Alex Bell. This one kept me up because it was just so damn creepy and I totally had nightmares because of this book! I don’t like dolls as it is, but reading a book about weird killer dolls has definitely not raised my love for them one bit!!

13722513Number 2: Cinder by Marissa Meyer. This one kept me up because I loved it SOOO much and couldn’t stop reading it until I was through! It didn’t keep me up all night but a good part of it!

I am ABSOLUTELY in love with Layla and Roth from the The Dark Elements series by Jennifer L. Armentrout!! From the first time those two met I was excited to see how their relationship would develop and COME ON!!! Prince of Hell?!? Yessss!

22020052I’m not really good with judging the pacing of a book but I guess I could choose the The Hades Hangmen series by Tillie Cole. I really like a lot of the story elements and I think it qualifies as a fast-paced read! I love this series!!

15745371A series that I love a lot is the Shadow Falls Camp series by C.C.Hunter and I also absolutely love its spin-off the Shadow Falls: After Dark series. I definitely wouldn’t mind having another spin-off of this series! It’s absolutely amazing and I can never get enough of these books’ characters and storylines!

(BTW I chose this cover because it’s my favorite in the series!)

Once again I have to mention the House of Night series in this post! I really don’t care much for anything concerning Twilight and this franchise has completely ruined my opinion of vampires! In my mind everything that had anything to do with vampires was bad! I don’t even remember why I started reading the House of Night series in the first place but it just drew me in and didn’t let me go! – also it changed my opinion of vampires! I really liked the premise of this series and also that it didn’t have clichéd vampires but some good and original ideas! And by now vampires are some of my favorite supernatural characters! Another thing that makes them great is the fact that they can be so different from story to story!

160968241I don’t know if it qualifies as overhyped but I am really excited to read the A Court of Thornes and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas! I have seen this series a lot on other blogs but I am still very very VERY excited to read it!

I’m not really a collector of books so I don’t have any that I would like to own.

I am actually not really in the loop when it comes to debut novels because I always go sample shopping on Amazon to find new authors that I don’t know yet. So I can’t mention one for this one! Sorry Guys!

Well I have a few of those, so let me mention some: Jennifer L. Armentrout, Tillie Cole, Micalea Smeltzer, Kelly OramJay McLean, and James Dashner! Oh have I mentioned Jennifer L. Armentrout?

Priestess (Supernaturals #4) by Kelly Oram!!!!!! I have been waiting for this book for what feels like FOREVER! I absolutely love this series so I want to finally get my hands on this book – I’m getting impatient!

I tag:

I hope y’all enjoyed reading this post, since I sure enjoyed writing it! Also I want to thank y’all for reading this post and consider yourself tagged! 🙂

What Book have you been waiting on forever? What started your love for reading?

August TBR

Hi Guys! Well, New month new luck, right? I mentioned before, that I am not really a planner when it comes to reading, but this month I actually do have a few books that I want to read (or also finish). I was also tagged to participate in the 26 books in August challenge but since I am on vacation in the US and seeing my family there I probably won’t be able to do that…(I’ll do it next month though!)  But without further ado let’s start into my TBR!

Currently I am reading Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer so obviously that is on my TBR list, but I should finish it today or tomorrow.

  • Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marissa Meyer

Well obviously I have to read this one, since it’s the last (main) book in one of my favorite book series and I just know that I’ll love it so so much!

  • The Game of Lives (The Mortality Doctrine #3) by James Dashner

This is also a final installment in a series that I like very much, and I actually started reading this book once, but for some reason I stopped reading it and haven’t attempted to do so since. I want to change that now and luckily I brought it with me to the US!

  • A Court of Thornes and Roses (A Court of Thornes and Roses #1) by Sarah J. Maas

This book is another fairytale retelling and since I love those and due to all the good things I heard about this book I chose it to be my next retold fairytale! I am really excited for this one!

  • Invaded (Alienated #2) by Melissa Landers

Once again another book that’s part of a series! This one I want to read now because I can’t buy it in Germany without spending WAY too much money and while I am already buying it why not read it right after!

So that’s really it for this month, but as usual I’ll probably find some books along the way and read them as well! Thank you guys for reading my post and I hope you will all reach your reading goals or TBR’s for this month! 🙂

Top 5 Wednesday – Books You Feel Differently About

Hi Guys! So this is my first T5W written in the US – YAY! But this topic, to me, is once again very hard to do! For those of you who don’t know Top 5 Wednesday – it’s a weekly bookish meme hosted by Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes. The weekly topics are posted in the Goodreads group and if you want to join in on the fun just check it out there! This weeks topic is Books you feel differently about. Once again this is a topic that I don’t really have any books for and I had to think really hard to come up with these 5!

  • Das Parfuem (Perfume – Story of a murderer) by Patrick Sueskind

This is actually not a book that I have re-read, but it’s one that gets better, the more you think about it and the more questions you ask yourself. So after asking myself a few question about all the psychological stuff the book actually got a little better.

  • Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

When I first read this book I didn’t really think too much about it and thought it was an alright book, but after reading it and then thinking about it I absolutely HATED it! The story might be kind of alright but the characters are just infuriating and stupid and dumb and annoying…

  • Fallen Crest High (Fallen Crest #1) by Tijan

At first I really liked this book but when I re-read it the main character just pissed me off all the time and I could’t stand her at all. That often is just a no go for me and often I really can’t enjoy these books.

  • The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins

I actually liked reading the series but all the hype it got because of the movies and all that started to annoy me to an extend that I don’t think I would enjoy reading the series again. I would always have to think of all the movie and whatever stuff surrounds it and, sadly, by now I am sick of it…

  • Die Räuber (The Robbers) by Friedrich Schiller

This is actually a play that I had to read for school and I don’t really enjoy that way of writing too much, because: COME ON PEOPLE! It was written to be played on a stage so why would I read it instead? I chsnged my opinion about this book after actually watching the play and as a play I like it a lot!

So these were my Top 5 books that I changed my opinion on, I hope you enjoyed my post! Have y’all read any of these books? How did you like them? Thank you guys for reading and have a wonderful week! 🙂

July Wrap-Up and Personal Update

Hi Guys! So today is the last day of July which conveniently falls on a Sunday and it’s time for this month’s Wrap-Up and a little personal update! I haven’t been able to read a lot this month – I honestly don’t know why!

What I’ve read this month:

  • The Game that Breaks Us by Micalea Smeltzer
  • Rae of Sunshine by Micalea Smeltzer – I gave both of these book 4 Stars. Micalea Smeltzer is one of my favorite authors in the New Adult genre and I also love her Willow Creek series that shifts from Young Adult to New Adult. I was really excited for The Game that Breaks Us and I enjoyed most of the book, which is a given when reading Smeltzer’s books. Rae of Sunshine was actually a re-read and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time I read it.
  • Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer – I gave this book 5+ Stars and you can find the review here!
  • Deep Redemption (Hades Hangmen #4) by Tillie Cole – I gave this book 5 Stars! This author is my absolute favorite when it comes to New Adult novels and she is also the one who got me into that genre. I have basically loved every single one of her books and I can’t wait for the next one to come out!
  • Saving Tatum (Trace + Olivia #4) by Micalea Smeltzer – I gave this book 5 Stars!
  • Tone Deaf by Olivia Rivers – I gave this book 3.5 Stars and you can find the review here!
  • Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer – I gave this book 5+ Stars and you can find my review here!

I also attempted to read Josh and Hannah by Lynda Chance but I absolutely hated it and couldn’t finish it! I don’t want to review this book since it would be negative all the way, but I appreciate the authors effort and I don’t just want to bash her book. I think it was probably just meant for a different audience.

I am sorry for reading only these few books and for posting even less reviews, but this was my first month of real blogging and I’ll try to do better for the following months!

Currently I am reading:

  • the absolutely amazing Cress by Marissa Meyer which is part of the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING series The Lunar Chronicles!
  • Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This is Obsidian re-told from Daemon’s POV!

Now let’s move on to the updatey part:

In Bavaria the summer holidays just started two days ago and from tomorrow on I’ll be spending the next five weeks in the USA!! YAY!!!! I am so freaking excited, because I am going to see my family again, that hosted me during my High School Year over there. Since I don’t get to spend time with them often, I might not be able to post a lot during that time, but I’ll try to keep posting one review per week and keep up the Top 5 Wednesday, at least! When I come back I will definitely make a bookhaul post and after that I’ll make one for my birthday (that is soon after) as well!

Also, due to the whole seeing my family thing, I probably won’t be able to read a lot during my time in the States…Which is also going to make the 26 Books Challenge, which I was tagged in by Lara, pretty hard! But I’ll do my best and it sounds like SO MUCH fun!!

Thank you guys for reading and I hope y’all had a good month of July! Good luck for August!! 🙂
